Funding Success This Month

Following on from our progress report in September, when we outlined a number of successful raises, we are pleased to report that momentum continues, with highlights detailed below.

Boulevard Online: Further Growth and Support for the Marketplace Super Seller

Prime Advantage Capital Partners and managing partner, Greg Tufnell, have been advising Boulevard Online’s founder, Dom Portman, since 2019 and together have seen revenues soar from £2.0m to nearly £10.0m, as well as securing investment support from Fuel Ventures in 2021.

Boulevard Online helps launch and grow product sales for brands, retailers, distributors and suppliers on the biggest marketplaces the world.

Their team of e-commerce and tech specialists prepare the product launches and drive growth through a heavily data led proprietary tech platform, as well as carry out all fulfilment and compliance for over 120 brands.

PACP is pleased to confirm that a new £1.0m facility has recently been secured with the FSE Group to support growth and expansion with new platforms and marketplaces, including B&Q, Superdrug and Debenhams, where Boulevard Online has already secured exclusivity for over 1,500 products.

This facility dovetails perfectly with Boulevard Online’s current Series A raise of £3.0m, with the objective of driving sales to £38.9m+ in the next full year to May 2025.

Sbtrct: Where Expert Skincare Meets Sustainability

Founded in 2020, by former MD of Bulldog Skincare, Ben Grace.

The beauty industry faces 3 fundamental environmental challenges;

  • creating over 120 billion units of packaging each year.
  • most traditional personal care lotions and creams contain 70-80% water.
  • 70% of personal care products contain palm oil or palm oil derivatives, a major driver of deforestation.

In comparison, Sbtrct is a sustainable, solid state skincare range.

It’s manufactured in the UK, dermatologically approved, longer lasting, cruelty free, vegan, waterless and palm oil free.

Sbtrct has already sold over 15,000 units, can be found in John Lewis, Sephora and Harrods and has been shortlisted for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Beauty Awards.

The business is now raising £500k EIS eligible to optimise D2C and Wholesale sales channels, as well as prepare to launch in Scandinavia and the US.

Nana’s Manners: Building a New Brand in the Baby, Nursery and Toddler Market

Former teacher, Kathryn Baldey-Chourio, has incorporated a combination of Vintage Values and Modern Methods at the core of her business; as what took Lego 100 years took drinks brand Prime 100 days.

Nana’s Manners is a world of influence, whether it be delivered via YouTube and Tik Tok, or through email and packaging, within which parents will find a range of products chosen and crafted specifically for their child’s learning and development.

Since launch, the business has successfully focussed in “Nana Cooks”, developing over 150 products, global sales of £500k plus, generating 50,000 YouTube subscribers and 100,000 IG followers.

Largely self-funded to date, Nana’s Manners is now raising £250k EIS eligible to fully potentialise and fulfil demand, as well as launch a new category, “Nana Baths”.
