David Boddy joins Prime Advantage Capital Partners with 30 years entrepreneurial and management experience across several sectors.
Over the last decade he has supported SME’s, focussing on the uplift of leadership skills, training opportunities and development of corporate culture. He has successfully led Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A fundraising in the Ed-Tech and general education space.
Like all partners, David brings considerable hands-on experience of raising funds for the development of small to medium-sized businesses. He has grown two multi-territory consulting and communication enterprises, selling both for high multiples. A passionate believer in employee share ownership, he ensured that all team members – from the Board to the administration team – were rewarded handsomely.
David is passionate about the growth of human talent and the creation of a smooth interface between Artificial Intelligence and Human Intelligence. He is particularly keen on supporting enterprises that deliver products and services which magnify both technological and human capabilities.
A trained journalist and broadcaster, David held high-profile PR and communication management positions, including political press secretary to the Rt Hon Margaret Thatcher, before launching Market Access International, which grew to become a leading UK and European lobbying company, with clients in the pharmaceutical, defence, financial services and retail sectors.
Subsequently, David focussed on growing an advisory and investment portfolio, including the launch of UK Radio Developments and turning around a failed country house hotel into a multi-million award-winning venture, selling on to a French group at a significant multiple.
David also founded the Lucca Leadership Trust, delivering community training programmes for young entrepreneurs aged 18-30 from the UK, Australia and Africa.
David took a career break in 2004 to become Headmaster of a prestigious London Senior Boys’ school developing a distinctive curriculum around entrepreneurship and personal development. In 2012, he was elected national chair of the UK Society of Heads.
