Helena is an accomplished Chair, Senior Independent Director and Non-Executive Director with more than 30 years’ experience leading and advising businesses across retail, hospitality, media and technology.

She has chaired Remuneration and Nomination Committees, served on Audit and Risk Committees, and worked with private equity-backed, founder-led and listed organisations through periods of growth, transformation and change.

Her executive career includes senior leadership roles with iconic brands including Marks & Spencer, Woolworths South Africa, Kingfisher, Jack Wills and Ted Baker, where she served as Interim Chair and led the business through its formal sale process to ABG.

A recognised people and culture leader, Helena is passionate about aligning commercial strategy with talent, leadership and organisational culture to unlock sustainable growth.

An experienced coach and mentor, Helena has supported CEOs and executive teams through start-up, scale-up and transformation journeys, helping leaders develop the capabilities needed to navigate complexity, build high-performing cultures and prepare organisations for the future of work.

Combining strategic insight with operational pragmatism, she is known for her approachable style, commercial acumen and commitment to helping businesses and people achieve lasting success.

Alongside her career, Helena has held appointments with the NHS, the National Assembly for Wales and the Retail Trust, and has also served as a Justice of the Peace.
